Shape the Future – Bridge the gap between management & innovative technologies

Studying at HEC Paris and TUM leads to a Double Degree from two of Europe’s most renowned universities. You spend your first two semesters at HEC Paris taking courses in general management and will then come to Munich attending course modules such as Innovation Prototyping or Technological Trends. The program is aimed at young professionals who have gained their first professional experience and would like to bridge the gap between management and technology. As a graduate of this unique program, you will develop the ability to foster innovation within organizations.You further develop your personal and leadership skills and work on real-life projects in startups or large enterprise in the Munich area. Application information

I have taken both GMAT and GRE score. Can I send them both?

No. Only one test will be taken into consideration by the Admissions Office. It is the applicant’s responsibility to choose which test will be submitted in the application.

I have a low score. Should I still apply?

Yes. We consider all elements of your application, so it is important that you make each element as strong as possible. An average GMAT, GRE or TAGE MAGE test can be offset by other positive points in your application file.

Is there a minimum GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE? How are multiple test scores considered?

There are no minimum required or minimum cut-off scores for applying to the Master in Management & Innovation. We accept applicants with a wide range of scores. If you have taken a test several times, the Admissions Office will consider only your highest score when reviewing your application.

How do I apply online for the Double Degree Track?

First, create an account on the HEC Paris online application platform. Then begin to fill in your application. You are able to submit an application when:

  • Your application form is 100% complete
  • You have uploaded all the required documents
  • HEC Paris and TUM have received the required online letters of reference
  • You have paid the 110 Euro application fee (waived for applicants who have earned their bachelor’s degree at TUM)

General and Program information

Who can apply for the Master in Management & Innovation program?

The Master in Management & Innovation welcomes applications from young and motivated candidates of all nationalities holding a university degree of at least three years having obtained 180 ECTS.

The program is a complete general management education with a special focus on innovation, entrepreneurship and technology. Admissions are open to candidates from various fields of study (business, engineers, social sciences, sciences, arts, etc.), who have at least 12 months of full-time work experience (including internships). Applicants with considerably more than 3 years of full-time professional experience are encouraged to consider other degree tracks and programs.

Can I apply for the Double Degree Track before I have taken GMAT or GRE?

No. At least your unofficial score (available on the test date) must be uploaded to your application form by the deadline. Incomplete applications cannot be submitted.

Do I need to speak French to take the Double Degree Track of the Master in Management & Innovation?

No, all courses of the Master in Management & Innovation are taught in English. But while speaking French when applying is not mandatory, students are invited to register for a French language course (TEF certificate – all levels).
