Advanced Education for Executives and Professionals.

This Executive MBA has given me a broader overview of business practice, helped me in being more confident in my current role, and inspired me to move on to the next. The program fosters a high standard of learning by introducing new perspectives and encouraging a can-do attitude.

Strategy is about making choices, where to go and where not. In particular, in turbulent environments you need a clear orientation. Otherwise you will end up with everything and nothing. The Strategizing in Turbulent Environments program equips with such an orientation.

The Brewer Cursus was a great success! TUM has highly motivated lecturers who are very passionate about the subjects. The topics were all very interesting. The practical brewing process itself was very hands-on. We brewed in small groups. I was able to take away many tips and tricks for my small brewing operation I am planning to expand.

It was a good mix of theory and application. I found the advice from the practitioners very helpful. Especially in the feedback sessions when we developed our projects. It was sometimes a bit overwhelming to understand all the theoretical parts of the lecture. But there are great additional resources to follow up on each topic to get a better understanding.

Networking truly enhanced my Executive MBA experience by introducing me to fellow classmates with different backgrounds and languages. The diverse people you get to network with during your Executive MBA enriches the discussions inside as well as outside the class environment. This program allowed me to broaden my network and tap into the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Munich and make valuable connections.

During my studies, I was able to understand what type of leader I am and how to make a real impact on my team and my stakeholders. Most importantly, I learned how to support my team members, help them grow and become the best version of themselves.

What an outstanding course. The instructors make the videos engaging and convey the topics in a much more interesting manner than any other computer science lecturer I’ve ever seen. The course is structured very cleverly as well, with multiple video paths that you can take depending on how much support you need.

Theory and practice turned out to be very well-connected, especially during the team project. It changed the way I communicate with my customers today and how I listen to market needs between the lines. Other big learnings came from my peers. With a broad variety of industrial backgrounds everyone brought in a different practical view on the topics discussed.

Being part of the Alumni Association is the logical post-program step to foster relations and learnings of the active studies. Every network is as strong as its members are. As a coopted member of the Alumni Board, I want to contribute with my work to motivate fellow students and Alumni to engage in and initiate own alumni networking actions.

The content of the course is different from what you learn in a normal computer science course. It’s good to learn new things. It’s also good that we can learn at our own pace at edX!

I found the exchange with top experts from the German BIM landscape, as well as with the course participants, stimulating, interesting and informative. The organizers mastered the balancing act between content transfer, workshops and informal discussions wonderfully.

This course is a great way to get an overview of the contents of the DPS programme. The interactive design makes the course very appealing. I can definitely recommend it.

Additive manufacturing in its already great diversity makes it possible to get from a product idea to a finished product in record time. In addition, layer-by-layer construction can create structures with the most complex geometries, in multi-material construction or with integrated functionalities, which would not be so easy to realize with conventional technologies.

Receiving the Christoph Herrlich Scholarship from the TUM EMBA Alumni Association not only helped reduce the cost of my self-funded studies, but also reaffirmed for me the values of community spirit and commitment within the alumni community, of which I am now a proud member. I am very grateful for the financial support. Through interactions with the other scholarship recipients and the board members of the Alumni Association, I also feel even more connected to the community’s international professional network.

This course is fine and great as introduction to Supply Chain Management. The examples and slides are enough and with professor explanation everything is smooth and fun. Professor Holly is one of the best really , I have taken her Six sigma course on udicty which was a very great course. I hope professor Holly makes a specialization (a series of courses in which she continues teaching Supply Chain).

The TUM.wood program takes a holistic approach to teaching wood construction. A team of lecturers and experts from theory and practice gives participants a comprehensive insight into the wood value chain. This is particularly interesting for experienced architects.

Having over twenty years of experience in both technical and management roles, I always found that I was missing certain tools in my ‘toolbox’ – especially when it came to working with senior executives. After attending the Executive MBA in Business & IT at the TUM, I am confident about engaging in deeper discussions because I now use these newly gained tools.

Access to knowledge and personal development are now more important than ever to ensure the success of a company. That is why I am happy to support any form of continuing education, also in our Alumni Association.

Our excursions to the various companies on the practical weekends were also very exciting, e.g. the malt house or the hop community, and the many great discussions with the other course participants at eye level were very helpful and a good added value in this course.

We convey the technical relationships as well as the responsibility that all those involved along the wood value chain assume if wood is used for modern, efficient, climate-friendly and sustainable construction
