The technical basis of BIM is a digital, semantic 3D model that significantly improves collaboration in all phases of the building lifecycle and forms the basis for a variety of new applications.

BIM Professional can be used for any building, regardless of function, size or complexity.

With this certificate program you can earn 10 ECTS that are applicable to the Executive MBA programs at the Technical University of Munich. Please take note of more information in the detail section.

Holistic approach to BIM: You will learn how BIM links technology, processes, people and guidelines and how you can use them efficiently in your projects.

The courses are closely aligned with the VDI Guideline 2552 on BIM, which is currently under development. This further training offers practical training and enables you to position yourself successfully for the future in the field of BIM.

Graduation:After successfully passing the final examination, you will receive the “BIM Professional” certificate from the Technical University of Munich.
Academic responsibility:Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Borrmann, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Petzold
Target audience:Engineers and architects, managers, project managers, future BIM coordinators. You should have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience and ideally a university or university of applied sciences degree.
Participation fees:BIM Professional Module 1: 1.950 EUR incl. buildingSMART Foundation examination fees
BIM Professional Modules 2-4: 6.150 EUR excl. buildingSMART Practitioner examination fees
BIM Professional Modules 1-4: 7.950 EUR excl. buildingSMART Practitioner examination fees
BIM Professional Module 4: 1.200 EUR excl. buildingSMART Practitioner examination fees 700 EUR (only for former graduates of BIM Professional Modules 1-4)

Discounts:Members of the Leonhard-Obermeyer-Center receive a 20% discount on the participation fee. TUM Alumni and members or employees of our other strategic cooperation partners (see below) receive a 10% discount on the participation fee.

Credibility:You can have this program credited with 10 ECTS points as an elective module for the Executive MBA programs of the Technical University of Munich. In addition to the Executive fees, there may be further costs for the program. Please contact the program manager directly.
