During my 2nd semester of the Master in Management & Innovation, I worked with Schunk GmbH, which was my first experience working in a German company. At Schunk’s R&D lab, I chose the topic which was always close to my heart – automobiles and what the future of mobility would look like. And I learned more than that as I experienced what it is like to work the German way – the sheer will to innovate and the perseverance it takes to constantly be ahead.

Strategy is about making choices, where to go and where not. In particular, in turbulent environments you need a clear orientation. Otherwise you will end up with everything and nothing. The Strategizing in Turbulent Environments program equips with such an orientation.

The MOOC is incredibly clear and easy to understand. Everything is fully explained, and the quality is top-notch: the lessons are great, the exercises are great, and the videos are great. I had HTML lessons during my study program before, and I wish I had this kind of course, with this content. Definitely 10/10! Thanks again for the MOOC!

The goal must be to make agriculture more efficient, more resilient, more resource-efficient and even more sustainable. Technologies offer us powerful tools for this, but can only be successful in the long-term, if they are seamlessly integrated into everyday work.

At the start of our project phase at Kärcher, we were introduced to the most important people from the robotics team who provided us with the materials we needed. Through group interviews, we gathered valuable information for working on the objective questions. There were weekly feedback meetings to ensure mutual knowledge exchange. And although we could not be on site due to ongoing contact restrictions, we received continuous support.

The Executive MBA in Business & IT enables me to connect, learn, exchange, and grow alongside a group of talented professionals. The exposure to colleagues coming from different industries and working for market leaders is definitely a great opportunity I am benefiting from during my program. I am also able to bring those connections back to work, unveiling synergies on new business opportunities and best practices.

Theory and practice turned out to be very well-connected, especially during the team project. It changed the way I communicate with my customers today and how I listen to market needs between the lines. Other big learnings came from my peers. With a broad variety of industrial backgrounds everyone brought in a different practical view on the topics discussed.

The goal of the course and our greatest concern is therefore to make this knowledge about Smart Farming and the digital transformation possibilities of agriculture available to all interested parties in a compact form – based on cutting-edge research findings, practice- as well as future-oriented.

The “BIM Professional” course enabled me to acquire a comprehensive and very solid technical foundation in a short space of time. I particularly liked the interdisciplinary approach and learning in an interesting small group. The lecturers are excellent and highly motivated.

Our excursions to the various companies on the practical weekends were also very exciting, e.g. the malt house or the hop community, and the many great discussions with the other course participants at eye level were very helpful and a good added value in this course.

What I particularly liked about this course is that it was not industry-specific, which allowed me to learn how other industries use Blockchain. Also, the course provides excellent foundational knowledge in each module. The group exercise and case study were also excellent ways to apply our new knowledge and solidify our understanding of the material. Not to mention, I made new acquaintances and friends thanks to the course!

Progressive digitization in all areas of society also opens up numerous new attack surfaces. Comprehensive knowledge — both theoretical and practical — is needed to protect the entire digital infrastructure. This will enable us to transition to a secure digital society.

Participating in this program stands out as the best highlight in my professional journey. The global network of diverse students, guidance from insightful mentors, and the program’s focus on innovation have profoundly enhanced my professional growth. The Data Science program was an excellent refresher that reconnected me with the close relationship between computer science and mathematics. In just six days, an impressively broad spectrum was covered – from R fundamentals and statistical foundations to advanced machine learning methods and deep learning architectures. I particularly valued the well-balanced combination of theoretical concepts like Bayesian inference with practical applications in reinforcement learning and optimization methods. An intensive program that provides comprehensive insights into modern data-driven approaches.

The Executive MBA in Business & IT has given me the ability to approach problem-solving and decision-making from a leadership standpoint, teaching me the importance of asking the right questions and utilizing available information to make the right decisions.

My motivation is to make an impact on how companies can position themselves disruptively and assert themselves in the future. My career has benefited extremely from this Executive MBA as I have gained different perspectives on strategic and operational issues and had the opportunity to take part in Dell’s female leadership program.

Having over twenty years of experience in both technical and management roles, I always found that I was missing certain tools in my ‘toolbox’ – especially when it came to working with senior executives. After attending the Executive MBA in Business & IT at the TUM, I am confident about engaging in deeper discussions because I now use these newly gained tools.

The course was very intensive. It covered all the aspect of agriculture value-chain. The professor from reputed universities on their field of expertise made the chapter cohesive, conceptual and practical. Thus, enabling the students to understand the circumstances, past, presenent and future scenario in agriculture value chain with industry-based environment. This course is a must for agri-preneurs.
