Advanced Education for Executives and Professionals.

One of my decision criteria to join the Executive MBA program at the TUM was based on the modular setup offered. The split into modules which mostly took place Thursday to Tuesday helped me a lot to manage my full-time job, focus on the Executive MBA and still spend time with my family as I have two kids.

Our excursions to the various companies on the practical weekends were also very exciting, e.g. the malt house or the hop community, and the many great discussions with the other course participants at eye level were very helpful and a good added value in this course.

I really appreciate TUM’s efforts to improve the knowledge of people around the world through free education.

In a future where AI and quantum computing merge, the impossible becomes possible. This course has helped me to understand the difference between science fiction and reality.

Having over twenty years of experience in both technical and management roles, I always found that I was missing certain tools in my ‘toolbox’ – especially when it came to working with senior executives. After attending the Executive MBA in Business & IT at the TUM, I am confident about engaging in deeper discussions because I now use these newly gained tools.

What I particularly liked about this course is that it was not industry-specific, which allowed me to learn how other industries use Blockchain. Also, the course provides excellent foundational knowledge in each module. The group exercise and case study were also excellent ways to apply our new knowledge and solidify our understanding of the material. The Executive MBA in Business & IT has given me the ability to approach problem-solving and decision-making from a leadership standpoint, teaching me the importance of asking the right questions and utilizing available information to make the right decisions.

Using timber construction meaningful and with a sense of proportion – we want to impart the sound specialist knowledge for this.

The MOOC is incredibly clear and easy to understand. Everything is fully explained, and the quality is top-notch: the lessons are great, the exercises are great, and the videos are great. One of the great things about the program is you can exchange idea with experts at eye level. Whether in short inspirational lectures or half-day course modules, there is always a great discussion based on vivid, real-life examples. The program provided an excellent environment to learn new methods how to consider unforeseeable changes in the competitive environment. I liked especially the opportunities to reflect the learning with practical examples, and the personal coaching for an own case.

During my studies, I was able to understand what type of leader I am and how to make a real impact on my team and my stakeholders. Most importantly, I learned how to support my team members, help them grow and become the best version of themselves.

Venture capital and private equity are rather difficult sectors to access. It is tricky to understand the details and the mechanisms behind the scenes without talking to experienced professionals. The CPEA’s multi-faceted approach not only provides academic analysis of the industry as a whole, but also sheds light on the complex construct from a practitioner’s perspective.

Theory and practice turned out to be very well-connected, especially during the team project. It changed the way I communicate with my customers today and how I listen to market needs between the lines. Other big learnings came from my peers. With a broad variety of industrial backgrounds everyone brought in a different practical view on the topics discussed.
