The Brewer Cursus was a great success! TUM has highly motivated lecturers who are very passionate about the subjects. The topics were all very interesting. The practical brewing process itself was very hands-on. We brewed in small groups. I was able to take away many tips and tricks for my small brewing operation I am planning to expand.

Theory and practice turned out to be very well-connected, especially during the team project. It changed the way I communicate with my customers today and how I listen to market needs between the lines. Other big learnings came from my peers. With a broad variety of industrial backgrounds everyone brought in a different practical view on the topics discussed.

A great mix of really relevant theory and hands-on practice – real exchange with lecturers and participants about actual situations. Especially the change management content hit home – in a world that’s moving faster than ever, that’s just incredibly relevant. I took several coaching and leadership approaches back into my daily work with our portfolio companies and catch myself applying and reflecting on them regularly. Would absolutely recommend it.

Functional integration, resource conservation, lightweight construction and highly complex component designs – these features characterize additive manufacturing processes. Consequently, additive manufacturing processes are ideal technologies for sustainable and green production. In order to be able to leverage this sustainability potential, an in-depth understanding of the manufacturing processes is essential.

The course was very intensive. It covered all the aspect of agriculture value-chain. The professor from reputed universities on their field of expertise made the chapter cohesive, conceptual and practical. Thus, enabling the students to understand the circumstances, past, presenent and future scenario in agriculture value chain with industry-based environment. This course is a must for agri-preneurs.

More that the common buzzwords! The certificate program provides compact, in-depth knowledge of sustainability management as well as exciting field reports. The development of products that help customers reduce their carbon footprint has been driving me professionally for years. This product transformation always involves discussions – and now I feel event better equipped to deal with them.

During my 2nd semester of the Master in Management & Innovation, I worked with Schunk GmbH, which was my first experience working in a German company. At Schunk’s R&D lab, I chose the topic which was always close to my heart – automobiles and what the future of mobility would look like. And I learned more than that as I experienced what it is like to work the German way – the sheer will to innovate and the perseverance it takes to constantly be ahead.

My enrollment to the Executive MBA Business & IT program was driven by my passion to gain a deeper understanding of digital transformation and to expand my theoretical and practical management skills. The exchange with learners from a wide range of industries offered interesting discussions and practical examples. It is one of the best-organized MOOCs I have ever had. The instructors made a huge effort to provide material suitable for students from diverse backgrounds. There are required (core) videos suitable for everyone. The quizzes are not just testing your memorization skills (like other courses I had) but are testing your understanding and help you understand the material in-depth!

Receiving the Christoph Herrlich Scholarship from the TUM EMBA Alumni Association not only helped reduce the cost of my self-funded studies, but also reaffirmed for me the values of community spirit and commitment within the alumni community, of which I am now a proud member. In the circular Earth system, a circular economy is the greatest, perhaps only, chance of ensuring a peaceful existence for humanity. In order to preserve the carbon cycle, we need durable, unmixed and demountable structures in timber construction.

The “BIM Professional” course enabled me to acquire a comprehensive and very solid technical foundation in a short space of time. I particularly liked the interdisciplinary approach and learning in an interesting small group. The lecturers are excellent and highly motivated.

Progressive digitization in all areas of society also opens up numerous new attack surfaces. Comprehensive knowledge — both theoretical and practical — is needed to protect the entire digital infrastructure. This will enable us to transition to a secure digital society.

Additive manufacturing in its already great diversity makes it possible to get from a product idea to a finished product in record time. In addition, layer-by-layer construction can create structures with the most complex geometries, in multi-material construction or with integrated functionalities, which would not be so easy to realize with conventional technologies.
