The Christoph Herrlich Stipendium was instrumental in enabling my pursuit of the TUM Executive MBA, opening doors that might have otherwise remained closed. Throughout the program, this scholarship not only provided financial support but also fostered a deep sense of connection with the TUM community. Years after graduation, I continue to benefit from the strong network I built during my time at TUM, allowing me to access valuable insights and information across various industries through our tight-knit alumni community.

The EMBA program has been extremely beneficial, especially in terms of working alongside other students to solve real-world business challenges related to corporate social responsibility and competitive strategy. This intense and inspiring experience has allowed for a great opportunity to test and practice ideas while also having fun.

I chose the CPEA program (VC Track) in order to deepen my knowledge in VC and benefit from the knowledge of industry experts as well as meeting peers. After graduating in 2024 I can say that the CPEA did not disappoint! It is a great program to get practical and academic insights into PE & VC from industry experts and great speakers. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to connect with peers, network and work on realistic, real world investment cases together. I really benefited from the practical experiences the speakers and experts shared with us as well as from the network I built during the program. I highly recommend the program to anyone working in VC or PE who wants to further improve their skills/ knowledge and enhance their network to peers.

It is quite challenging to balance a full-time job, family life and studies. However the part-time program offered a schedule that fitted my routine, with classes once a month from Thursday to Sunday and a reasonable timeframe to deliver the modules’ assignments. The course content was a good mix between theory and practice.

Participating in this program stands out as the best highlight in my professional journey. The global network of diverse students, guidance from insightful mentors, and the program’s focus on innovation have profoundly enhanced my professional growth. From day one of my practical phase, Voith showed me that they were fully involved and that what I did was a real enrichment for them. They made me understand that my work would help the company to make real-life decisions in order to become more competitive. I think, good communication and the exchange of information were the key pillars of successful project development.

During my 2nd semester of the Master in Management & Innovation, I worked with Schunk GmbH, which was my first experience working in a German company. At Schunk’s R&D lab, I chose the topic which was always close to my heart – automobiles and what the future of mobility would look like. And I learned more than that as I experienced what it is like to work the German way – the sheer will to innovate and the perseverance it takes to constantly be ahead.

Receiving the TUM EMBA Alumni Association Christoph-Herrlich Scholarship came at one of the most difficult moments in my life, and it quite literally made it possible for me to complete my EMBA when I otherwise could not have. Your generosity made the difference between stopping and succeeding, and I remain profoundly grateful for the support that continues to shape my life and leadership today. During my studies, I was able to understand what type of leader I am and how to make a real impact on my team and my stakeholders. Most importantly, I learned how to support my team members, help them grow and become the best version of themselves.

At the start of our project phase at Kärcher, we were introduced to the most important people from the robotics team who provided us with the materials we needed. Through group interviews, we gathered valuable information for working on the objective questions. There were weekly feedback meetings to ensure mutual knowledge exchange. And although we could not be on site due to ongoing contact restrictions, we received continuous support.

Wood as a material offers enormous design potential for architecture and engineering. It can be used in a wide variety of ways. What fascinates me about wood is not only the aesthetic expression of the material, but also the special tectonics and the precision of digital production methods.

Within this program, you get the chance to work with companies and work on your projects, so that you can actually apply the information you learned in the lectures, instead of just studying for exams and putting that information down on paper.

One of my decision criteria to join the Executive MBA program at the TUM was based on the modular setup offered. The split into modules which mostly took place Thursday to Tuesday helped me a lot to manage my full-time job, focus on the Executive MBA and still spend time with my family as I have two kids.

Venture capital and private equity are rather difficult sectors to access. It is tricky to understand the details and the mechanisms behind the scenes without talking to experienced professionals. The CPEA’s multi-faceted approach not only provides academic analysis of the industry as a whole, but also sheds light on the complex construct from a practitioner’s perspective.

I can recommend the CPEA program to anyone who wants to gain a foothold in the private equity or venture capital sector or further their career.
