Advanced Education for Executives and Professionals.

As a transplant from California, I choose to participate actively in the Alumni Association in order to engage with the network of individuals from the university and to promote the exchange of experiences, opportunities, and connections, especially in the areas of lifelong professional learning and personal development.

I liked that the Specialization included step-by-step exercises and tutorials. Unlike exercises where a student can succeed by simply doing as directed, the assignments foster active learning. The assignments were where I discovered whether I truly understood the material. This Specialization produces real learning.

One of the most valuable and rewarding experiences during the Executive MBA program has been being able to expand my professional network with extraordinary people from across industries, and different disciplines. I was able to gain new insights from their diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.

The EMBA program has been extremely beneficial, especially in terms of working alongside other students to solve real-world business challenges related to corporate social responsibility and competitive strategy. This intense and inspiring experience has allowed for a great opportunity to test and practice ideas while also having fun.

It was a good mix of theory and application. I found the advice from the practitioners very helpful. Especially in the feedback sessions when we developed our projects. It was sometimes a bit overwhelming to understand all the theoretical parts of the lecture. But there are great additional resources to follow up on each topic to get a better understanding.

This course is fine and great as introduction to Supply Chain Management. The examples and slides are enough and with professor explanation everything is smooth and fun. Professor Holly is one of the best really , I have taken her Six sigma course on udicty which was a very great course. I hope professor Holly makes a specialization (a series of courses in which she continues teaching Supply Chain).

The TUM.wood program takes a holistic approach to teaching wood construction. A team of lecturers and experts from theory and practice gives participants a comprehensive insight into the wood value chain. This is particularly interesting for experienced architects.

I am truly grateful to the ‘Technical University of Munich’ for offering such a valuable certification program in ‘Strategic Supply Chain Management in Turbulent Times’. The course provided deep insights into concepts and practical applications as well as the analytics that will be instrumental to apply in real life scenarios. A special thanks to Professor (Dr.) Holly Ott for her exceptional teaching, guidance, and ability to simplify complex ideas into real-world solutions. The journey through this course has been both enriching and inspiring.

Even though I am studying acoustics, this online course was a good addition. It was always very interesting as I was able to dive into some topics a bit deeper than in my previous (non-virtual) courses. My knowledge on some topics became more solid and detailed.

The TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning’s “Digital Twins for Cities” course was a highlight of 2023. The hybrid approach allows for effective knowledge transfer and valuable networking in equal measure. The quality of the speakers and participants was excellent. I was able to take a lot of knowledge and inspiration with me into my everyday professional life. The only open question is which course I will attend at TUM LLL 2024.

Our excursions to the various companies on the practical weekends were also very exciting, e.g. the malt house or the hop community, and the many great discussions with the other course participants at eye level were very helpful and a good added value in this course.

The content of the course is different from what you learn in a normal computer science course. It’s good to learn new things. It’s also good that we can learn at our own pace at edX!

The Christoph Herrlich Stipendium was instrumental in enabling my pursuit of the TUM Executive MBA, opening doors that might have otherwise remained closed. Throughout the program, this scholarship not only provided financial support but also fostered a deep sense of connection with the TUM community. Years after graduation, I continue to benefit from the strong network I built during my time at TUM, allowing me to access valuable insights and information across various industries through our tight-knit alumni community.

I liked how much passion, humor, and interest in really getting the contents across went into this course. The lectures were of high-quality standard and there was much thought put into the course structure. I especially liked the interactive editor and the progress overview. Lorenz is a fantastic coach.

I was looking for an adequate advanced training in the field of sustainability and the combination of purely theoretical knowledge and relevant practical aspects convinced me to participate. Above all, the selection of lecturers absolutely met my expectations. Another positive aspect for me was the wide range of topics across the 8 modules.

I would absolutely go for this program again! Many of the approaches and ideas were immediately useful in my corporate job. Before the Executive MBA, I thought of myself as an intrapreneur. Actually, I never had serious plans to found my own business. This seed was planted in Garching, and the plant is growing: What initially started as my final thesis topic within the program led to founding the medtech start-up Lab E GmbH.

It is quite challenging to balance a full-time job, family life and studies. However the part-time program offered a schedule that fitted my routine, with classes once a month from Thursday to Sunday and a reasonable timeframe to deliver the modules’ assignments. The course content was a good mix between theory and practice.

Imparting comprehensive knowledge about the agricultural and food sector. I greatly appreciate TUM’s efforts to improve the knowledge of people around the world through free education.
