Wood as a material offers enormous design potential for architecture and engineering. It can be used in a wide variety of ways. What fascinates me about wood is not only the aesthetic expression of the material, but also the special tectonics and the precision of digital production methods.

I was impressed by the variety of the course content and the professional organization of the course, as well as the presentation of many different perspectives on the BIM. I particularly enjoyed the presentations of the research work, which offered a fascinating glimpse into the future.

I liked that the Specialization included step-by-step exercises and tutorials. Unlike exercises where a student can succeed by simply doing as directed, the assignments foster active learning. The assignments were where I discovered whether I truly understood the material. This Specialization produces real learning.

The Executive MBA in Business & IT enables me to connect, learn, exchange, and grow alongside a group of talented professionals. The exposure to colleagues coming from different industries and working for market leaders is definitely a great opportunity I am benefiting from during my program. I am delighted that the new certificate program “Patient Safety” has been launched by TUM’s Medical Faculty and the Klinikum rechts der Isar in close cooperation with TUM Campus Straubing, the Klinikum St. Elisabeth Straubing and Lufthansa Aviation Training. Due to the advances made in the digitalization of medicine and the increasingly complex processes involved in treatment, the topic of patient safety is becoming ever more important in our clinics and hospitals. The interdisciplinary partnership of medicine, research and business holds the promise of innovative and dynamic strategies for the responsible handling of risks posed by modern medicine.

This course is a great chance to gain valuable experience in related challenges and problems as well as to acquire an understanding how to best apply and execute tools and concepts of vocational training.

In a future where AI and quantum computing merge, the impossible becomes possible. This course has helped me to understand the difference between science fiction and reality.

As a transplant from California, I choose to participate actively in the Alumni Association in order to engage with the network of individuals from the university and to promote the exchange of experiences, opportunities, and connections, especially in the areas of lifelong professional learning and personal development.

Lifelong learning does not end with the completion of a degree or continuing education program. Through our association, we maintain contacts, renew our knowledge in the spirit of lifelong learning and thus create inspiration for new concepts.

Quantum technologies offer great opportunities but are still limited by certain physical and technical constraints. Thus, understanding quantum technologies is crucial to classify the current status and distinguish real potential from hype.

Being part of the TUM TVET Master is an honor for me. Not only have I learned about TVET and Educational Innovation, but I have also created a solid network around the globe. The hybrid format has worked well for me, allowing me to balance work, study, and family time. The peer and individual mentorship system has been key to maximizing my learning opportunities and achieving my Master’s degree.

The Executive MBA in Business & IT has given me the ability to approach problem-solving and decision-making from a leadership standpoint, teaching me the importance of asking the right questions and utilizing available information to make the right decisions.

More that the common buzzwords! The certificate program provides compact, in-depth knowledge of sustainability management as well as exciting field reports. The development of products that help customers reduce their carbon footprint has been driving me professionally for years. This product transformation always involves discussions – and now I feel event better equipped to deal with them.

I found the exchange with top experts from the German BIM landscape, as well as with the course participants, stimulating, interesting and informative. The organizers mastered the balancing act between content transfer, workshops and informal discussions wonderfully.

The course was very intensive. It covered all aspects of urban mobility and related technical aspects. The professors, who are from reputed universities, made the chapters cohesive, conceptual and practical so that the students are able to understand the circumstances, past, present and future scenario of urban mobility in an industrialized environment.
